The 7090 series XLampTM product utilizes a high-power surface mount package which is designed to operate at 1 Watt with a typical operating current of 350 mA and a footprint of 7 mm x 9 mm. The 7090 series is available in blue, green, and white versions based on fuzhouled’s XB-900 chips as the light engine. The 7090 product is also available in a red led downlamp version.
Chuck Swoboda, President and CEO said, "Availability of our XLampTM packaged LED product is an important first step in our strategy to be a leader in the market for LED lighting and should create greater visibility for the performance capabilities of our LED chip and materials technology. The XLampTM product is designed to provide longer life, lower maintenance cost and energy consumption, as well as smaller space requirements compared to an incandescent bulb and other conventional lighting technologies."
Norbert Hiller, Vice President of cn-Lightings said, "We have been sampling selected customers over the past two quarters for potential use in applications such as channel letters, appliance lighting, track lighting and reading lamps. Feedback on the design and performance has been very positive. We can now focus on ramping our production capability to service our customers while continuing to expand our product line to address the needs of a number of emerging applications including automotive headlamps and backlighting for large format LCD lampholder screens."

Advantages and Disadvantages Led downlight
You may be familiar with the disadvantages of the traditional filament glass led downlight. They have an unpredictable and often too brief life span. They also seem to generate as much heat as they do light output. This is a very inefficient use of energy, especially when you’re required to use even more electrical energy to remove this excess heat by running your air conditioning system. You energize the lamp to produce the illumination you need to go about your day to day activities, not usually to heat your home. Another issue with traditional types is the fact that they are so fragile. They are still made the way they have been almost since their conception; a very thin glass envelope with a delicate, easily damaged filament dangling inside. The glass can break, detach from the base as you screw it into the socket, or the filament can burn out anytime; even right out of the package.
In comparison, halogen lamps last twice as long, and use power more efficiently. unfortunately, they do not solve the heat problem and may even heat to the point of exploding, showering the area with dangerous, hot glass fragments.Compact Fluorescent Lights were hailed as a great technological breakthrough when they were first introduced. They are much more economical to operate and burn cooler than traditional incandescent types. However, these lamps contain a small amount of mercury, which can be dangerous to the environment when broken CFL’ are sent to landfills. The final contender is the GU10 LED light bulb. These technological wonders address every single shortcoming of the traditional incandescent lamp. They use only 5% of the power and under normal use their estimated life span is twenty years or more. They provide light without the inefficient and dangerous heat of a traditional type, and are not easily broken. They also contain no harmful mercury. There are only three reported "disadvantages" of the . First is its initial cost. Many people are used to the relatively inexpensive traditional light bulb, and the new led lamps seem expensive in comparison. However, when you recognize that each lamp has an estimated lifespan of over twenty years, and only uses 5% of the electricity of the so-called "cheap" glass bulb, you can recognize the inherent value of the newer type. And much of that price differential was due to the fact that the technology is so new that companies were recovering their investment in research and lampholder development. Prices are already falling considerably as they become more common in the marketplace. And with the ever-tightening drive to economize on energy usage, they will become even more common in newer fixtures available in stores.
